Virtual Site

The Yumeshima Island site will be reproduced using 3DCG in an online space. Users will be able to walk around the virtual site through their avatars, enter the virtual pavilions of exhibitors, and experience exhibitions and events that take advantage of the unique characteristics of the virtual world. At the physical Yumeshima Island site visitors can also enjoy AR content using their smartphones to view characters and 3D objects that do not exist in reality. In addition, we plan to offer experiences in which the real and virtual worlds are interlinked through technologies such as AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality).

Buses that automatically power themselves while running The Electric Buses for Visitor Mobility are state-of-the-art electric buses. Visitors can ride on approximately 100 electric buses on routes inside and outside the Expo site. In addition, new technologies such as Level 4 automated driving and in-transit power supply will be integrated to conduct a large-scale demonstration not seen anywhere else.

The City of the Future as Envisioned by Society 5.0 What kind of wisdom on our part will be put to use there, and what kind of happiness will come about? Here, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and 12 co-sponsors propose answers to be found at the Future Life Expo: Future City, where we can all consider these questions together. Can we balance economic advancement with the resolution of various social problems? What would a human-centered city designed for humans look like? We invite children as well as experienced adults to take a look and give us a range of opinions.

At the “Mobility Experience” located in the northwest part of the Expo site, ORIX Corporation, the operation sponsor of the vertiport in the Expo site, is preparing the Expo site’s on-site vertiport. AAM operators are preparing to operate AAMs between two ports inside and outside the Expo site. With cooperation from local and national governments, all concerned parties are working together to implement specific initiatives. Please look forward to future announcements.
